Inspiration

A new blog. A new post. A fresh start on blogging. Except my mind is dead of inspiration.

Each night, after the family I am staying with are tucked up in bed, I lay fighting the lazy hum of mosquitos that seem to conregate in my room. The reminants of the deceased are splattered upon many of the surfaces around the room. My bed is laden with thick black hairs that seem to have been left here when the dog departed from its midday sleeping place. Seems he has good choice in comfortable beds. The house is oozing with family spirit and it's wonderful.

Some how, such a busy household still find time to sit down for a family meal at the end of the day. Last night, I was apart of that. Having cooked the family my speciality carbonara, we sat down at the large dining table, cuban music serenading us, and feasted. Not long into eating, it turned into fits of giggles with cheese and carbonara sauce being scattered and sprayed across the table. It was lovely to feel care free and 'in with the family'. Golden opportunities to giggle and the best way to relax and appreciate the smaller things in life.

Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel seems to far away and you're moving too slow to notice any progress, however, take the time to look around while in snail pace mode, don't take for granted those golden opportunities that arise by being to focused on what is infront.

That doesn't mean I am going to lay here and appreciate the three mosquitos I can see but can't seem to catch...!
